SpoletoNorcia MTB is energy — a combination of sport, wellbeing, and pure fun:
a cycling tourism event focused on the historic route of the Old Railway that once connected the city of Spoleto to Norcia.
THE 2026 ROUTES
The SpoletoNorcia MTB event, scheduled for June 2, offers no fewer than five different routes, varying in length and difficulty. The courses feature mixed terrain and technical single tracks, crossing one of the most lush areas of Umbria, with stone viaducts and dark spiral tunnels, winding through the green mountains shaped by the Nera River and dotted with charming hermitages and villages.

The FAMILY route of 14 km with 300 m of elevation gain offers everyone the chance to take part in a day full of emotions, sport and fun.
The EASY ROUTE of 42 km with 1,000 m of elevation gain is a variant of the Classic route, suitable for all sports enthusiasts.
The CLASSIC route of 55 km with 1.500 m of elevation gain follows the most scenic section of the Old Railway between Spoleto, Vallo di Nera, Sant’Anatolia di Narco and Scheggino.
The HARD route of 75 km with 2,200 m of elevation gain is more demanding, ideal for those who enjoy a challenge and feel ready to tackle a fully off-road course on gravel roads and technical single tracks.
The new ENDURANCE route of 140 km with 3.200 m of elevation gain (difficulty level 3/3) is the main novelty, designed for the most daring and adventurous riders. A long route that reaches the gems of the Valnerina: Cascia and Norcia, the lands of Saint Rita and Saint Benedict, Scheggino, Gavelli, Roccaporena, Preci and other charming villages.
