Torgiano is an ancient medieval village located at the confluence of the Chiascio and Tiber rivers, surrounded by hills covered with vineyards and olive groves, which have made it famous for the quality of its wine and oil.
Deruta is another typical Umbrian village, known as the ‘City of Ceramics’ for its extensive production of fine majolica. We recommend a short detour from the route to climb up to the historic centre and enjoy the view of the valley below.
The route is entirely on roads. There is not much traffic, but a little caution is necessary in built-up areas and at the E45 junction before Torgiano.
