To see in the area Todi, Monte Castello di Vibio, the Tiber River Park, the Montemolino Hydroelectric Power Station, Ceccanibbi Castle. Todi, Monte Castello di Vibio, the Tiber River Park

This route is also known as the ‘Anello del Furioso’ due to its circular shape: it starts and finishes in the green space of the hamlet of Pian di San Martino, just a few minutes’ drive from the historic centre of Todi.

Whether walking or cycling from Todi to Monte Castello di Vibio, from Doglio Castle to the small hamlet of Castello di Cecanibbi, you can savour the gentle pleasure of discovery as you pass through an unspoilt landscape that gradually reveals its secrets and beauty.

Along the route, you’ll come across the ruins of ancient water mills or examples of industrial heritage such as the old Montemolino hydroelectric power station, as well as the site of the bloody battle of 1310 between the Guelphs and Ghibellines, which culminated in the destruction of a bridge over the River Tiber.

Wineries, farms and local producers blend with the biodiversity of the natural environment, offering experiences that cannot be found elsewhere, all set against a backdrop inextricably linked to medieval history.
