Rediscover rural traditions, learn what country life teaches and get in touch with nature in all its expressions. Through the many proposed routes, you can indulge in genuine and often unique experiences(such as meetings with artisans and artists reserved for small groups of people). ABC rural is the perfect place for a holiday where you can relax by doing small things, listening to the silence, discovering smells and flavours that only the earth can give us, and being fascinated by timeless knowledge. And you can also cool off on the infinity pool overlooking the valley! Nancy and Michele are #becomingagriculturists (this is their motto), cultivating vegetables and planting ancient fruits, gathering wild herbs, searching for truffles, breeding animals at risk of extinction and producing their honey, jams, EVO oil, flour from ancient grains(ground on site)... and then enjoying them on the table with you!

  • Period: truffle hunting is only possible in June, July and August.
  • One goes to the truffle hut early in the morning or before sunset.
What is included

A unique experience in the heart of the forest, accompanied by Michele and our dogs Africa and India, the real protagonists! During the search, we will tell you how this precious ingredient is born and what its characteristics are, and you will learn about the truffle reserve and how the dogs are trained. After the adrenaline rush of the find, the pace slows down: you can enjoy a regenerating break in our garden or treat yourself to a refreshing dip in the pool overlooking the valley. This relaxing interlude will be the prelude to the most awaited moment, a dedicated lunch where the freshly harvested truffle will become the ingredient of honour in an authentic menu prepared by Nancy. An experience that will make you savour the deepest and most fragrant essence of Umbria.
